Folding Kris Dagger
This knife is a fully sculpted Broadwell "picture frame" art folder. The blade is made from an outstanding piece of Tom Ferry mosaic damascus steel. Ferry forged to shape  the billet in an abstract organic pattern specifically for this knife. The second photo shows the steel pattern with Broadwell's sculpting and texturing in the guard area. The handle is carved from bronze plates, textured, and given an antique patina. Black lip mother of pearl shows through the "picture frame" openings. The blade locks with an inlaid side lock. The spine of the handle is damascus steel. Except for the textured and heat colored stainless steel pivots, this knife is assembled with hidden screws. There are several small carved details on this knife, many on the inside.

A note on the materials chosen for this knife. Broadwell chose bronze for the handle because of it's warmth and it's natural oxidation characteristics. The black lip MOP is actually in the green color range and compliments the bronze. While damascus could have been used for the handles and the spine extensively carved, it was felt that the knife would become gaudy rather than tastefully designed.
