Bold Scrollwork
This elegant pen uses black acrylic for the body with full cap and
barrel overlays in titanium and damascus steel bands and clip. Ray Cover
cut the scroll work, engraving it in a bold style that is typical of his
work. As a final detail the section has an engraved band on it to
compliment the body.

with Gold Leaf
Ray Cover Jr engraved the acanthus leaf design on the titanium cap band,
top screw, and
tapered clip of this acrylic pen, then gilded the background with fine gold leaf. Broadwell designed the
piston filled barrel with a clear inkview window. He
hand crafted other subtle design details, like the stepped cigar
band style cap band and setting the cap top at a sloped angle, grinding
it to a flush fit with the cap by hand.
